You've been searching for the brand. Now you're asking yourself if we're a real business and a good place to buy a shirt from. We understand. First time visitors come to this page for similar reasons and long to leap over this step.
So here is the research, done for you.
The shop launched in 2021. We sell geek-themed Hawaiian shirts and button-ups featuring dragons, dice, retro consoles, dinosaurs, and the occasional weirder fandom. Customers have written over 3,000 reviews across the platforms where we sell. The average rating is 4.8. Most of those reviews are found right here, if you'd rather skip the analysis and go straight to them:

Reading still? Ok. Here's what the reviews actually say once we've read a couple thousand of them, which we have, someone has to.
All those customers say is...other people.
Not the fabric. Not the design. Not the fit. Those are mentioned too. But the single most common thread in the comments section is that which is being reacted to.
People wear our shirts out in the world and get the approaching, the comments, the stops. This is recurring theme in the reviews. Airports, family events, other workers coming to us asking where this came from. We thought we were only in the business of selling shirts. We had no idea that just by virtue of people wearing them, they would spark a little social interest for the people who are wearing them. Our customers enjoy this just as much.
None of this was actually part of the original plan. It just so happened that enough people wanted to buy a Hawaiian shirt with d20s on it but didn't want it to feel like a child's pajamas.
What the negative reviews say
This paragraph always shows up in just about every "research the brand" post on the web. It is always written to appear neutral, but with a sales pitch behind it. We are not adept at that so we shall not try to do just that.
Sizing is by far the most common complaint. It's also on the nervous list of most first time customers before they order. We've changed it and changed it and changed it as we've received feedback from reviews and advice from us and many good customers the answer if you're in between sizes is: size up. Online clothes sizing is a minefield. Nobody's cracked it.
What customers seem to comment on most is durability of the prints, in vast majority of cases in a positive way. Cheap clothing will fade after a few trips through the wash; customers will come back to update old reviews, sometimes nearly a year later, telling us that the shirts still looked great. The reason this review exists is because the negatives reviews are still visible to be updated, and thus, the point.
It is like we don't delete negative reviews as a method for individuals yet.
All of our reviews are handled by Loox. The system is compliant with EU Omnibus Directive. The European rule is there to protect you from stores from creating fake reviews and secretly getting rid of the bad ones. The negative reviews stay published. So do the neutral ones. And the ones from people who didn't love their shirt as much as they expected.
Scroll down and skip over the 17 positive ones and go straight to the 13 negative ones, if that's your thing. These are a small minority. They are not filtered or hidden in any way.
"Is Geek Tropical legit?"
Yes.
The longer version: the company began on Etsy in 2021, operated there for a few years, achieved a 4.9 rating, and earned Star Seller status before moving to its own independent store. The Etsy reviews are still public. Feel free to scroll through them for verification:

A few other specific points, as specific points are important:
All orders are refundable for 30-60 days, depending on if there is a defect. Longer than a typical clothing return policy is by design! And plus, a return and exchange policy exists unlike every single other made-to-order company! All artwork is exclusive and original to this shop and not simply used for talent plagiarism. As much of the proceed is shared with independent artists, a small part of every sale. Loox published a 1 minute case study about how customer pictures and videos helped to tell the brand story if you want to see the total founder's journey : https://loox.app/success-stories/geek-tropical
You can also find a Shop app profile here with again 100% verified reviews: https://shop.app/m/geektropical
The brand has 4.8+ averages on Facebook, Instagram, Google and Loox. Those numbers are in flux as new reviews come in.
The short version
Real company. Real reviews. Over 3,000 of them at a 4.8 average. Negative ones remain visible. 60-day money-back guarantee on every order. The reviews are actually more helpful than this entire post:
