Returns & Exchanges

    60-Day Print, Quality, and Delivery Guarantee

    We offer a 60-Day 100% money back guarantee for damaged, misprinted, or faulty products or even packages lost in the mail.

    The 60-Day window starts on the date the order has been delivered. In only very rare circumstances will we ask for the inconvenience of returning defective products, and defective products may be kept or given away after confirming with our team.

    Our delivery guarantee covers lost packages once confirmed lost from an investigation from the carrier and a claim has been approved, typically confirming that the last package scan was at the wrong location. We will remake the products or refund orders that meet this condition. Geek Tropical is not responsible for any stolen or delayed packages or lost packages that were the result of an incorrect address on the order.

    Button replacement: In case products' buttons were damaged during shipment or during the first wash, we would be happy to mail replacement buttons on request.

    Returns & Exchanges

    Ready-to-Ship / Retail (For products prefixed with "Ready-to-Ship")

    With exception to products marked as clearance, you may return unused, undamaged, and unwashed merchandise back to our address in the USA within 30 days of purchase to qualify for a product exchange or refund. The hang tag must still be attached to the item. Shipping costs for returns and exchanges are the responsibility of the customer.

    If the item is in a condition such as being previously worn, washed, or damaged, preventing us from reselling it, we cannot issue an exchange or refund. Should the customer wish to receive the item(s) back, they are responsible for covering postage costs.

    Ready-to-ship items are clearly marked as such in the product title or on the product page. Ready-to-ship items labeled as clearance or final sale are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.

    Made-to-Order

    Although the typical made-to-order policy is no returns and exchanges, we are pleased to offer a 30-day return and exchange policy for our handcrafted-to-order fashion. This window is extended for purchases made between November 1st and December 31st where purchases are eligible for a size exchange until January 31st the following year. 

    The 30-day return and exchange window starts from the date the order was delivered. Postage for the return back to our U.S. address is the customer responsibility, unless the item(s) arrived defective.

    A 15% stocking fee applies for items made-to-order when returning for a refund. We expect you to understand the material used for sublimated products, shipment timelines, and the sizing charts to make sure your order will be as expected. Because each item is handcrafted exclusively for you, returns and exchanges—while available—generate unnecessary waste and environmental impact.

    The postage for the return and exchange to return to us is paid by the buyer. Any size exchanges are then shipped out to you free of charge. Please ensure that the item is in a new, unworn, and unwashed condition with the hang tags still attached. We reserve the right to refuse any exchange for these reasons. 

    Before inquiring on a sizing issue or size exchange, we encourage you to double check the sizing on the products received and check them against our size chart. If the product falls outside of the stated tolerances, please reach out to us with images clearly showing the inaccurate sizes with a ruler. This is covered by our guarantee and may be replaced or refunded per customer preference.

    Fit & Tips

    • Runs slightly big: The chest and length has extra room for flexibility and comfort. In most cases, order your normal unisex size.
    • Fabric note: Our material is a four-way stretch, but we don't recommend you to take that into account. Additionally, the material does not shrink after washing and drying. 
    • For simplicity, our button ups and Hawaiian shirts have the same sizing, but please note that curvy shirts are completely different.

     

    How to Measure Yourself

    • Chest: Wrap measuring tape under your arms at fullest part. Divide the chest measurement by two to get the side-to-side width.
    • Shoulder: Measure the width of your shoulders from one shoulder blade to the tip of the other while keeping the tape taut.
    • Length: Starting from the base of the back of your neck, measure down your back to the point where you want the shirt to end.
    • Sleeve: Starting from the tip of your shoulder, measure straight down your arm.

     

    How to Measure a Flat Shirt

    • Chest (Width): Lay the shirt flat and smooth out wrinkles. Measure straight across from one armpit seam to the other. (This number is already the half-chest width; double it if you want the full chest circumference.)
    • Shoulder: With the shirt flat, measure from the tip of one shoulder seam straight across to the tip of the other shoulder seam.
    • Length: Place the measuring tape at the highest point on the shoulder (where the shoulder seam meets the collar) and measure straight down to the bottom hem of the shirt.
    • Sleeve: Start at the top of the shoulder seam (where it meets the sleeve) and measure along the outside edge to the end of the cuff.

    I bought this for my husband as his first Geek Tropical shirt. The print is very cool; everyone loves how from a distance, it looks more like a subtle abstract design, but then you get closer and see what it actually is. The fabric is lightweight and comfortable and doesn't get hot (even in Phoenix's summer). The cut is also super flattering. It's now his favorite shirt; the only hard part is now I have to figure out which shirts to surprise him with next, and there are just so many options to choose from!

    I was a bit disappointed by the quality of the product. The material was thin and cheap and the buttons didn't hold closed. I was hoping this would be a fun shirt to wear to work, but while it might pass for a day at the beach, it would never pass for a day at the office. Too bad.
